Lois was born to Jim and Edna Binder in Chicago, IL on August 15, 1935 where she lived until moving to Wichita, KS in 1972. She dedicated the majority of her adult life to raising her 4 sons – Jeff, Scott, Brian, and Blake - and spoiling her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Lois and her husband, Paul, were active members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church. They built a strong network of friends at Rolling Hills Country Club where she futilely attempted to master the game of golf. Lois belonged to several bridge clubs over the years and worked in the Wichita Real Estate market in the 80’s and 90’s. More recently, she made a habit of making too much dessert for Sunday dinners with her sons’ families.
Lois had a wonderful sense of humor and conquered numerous challenges with strong faith and a positive attitude including the death of 2 sons, her husband, and her beloved brother. When her home flooded in 1998, she simply said, “It’s just stuff.” Her resolve never wavered. She was an inspiration to others and the source of much joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to know her.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sons, Brian and Scott; brother, Alan; and parents Jim and Edna Binder. She is survived by her son, Jeff and wife Kathy (Briggs); son, Blake and wife Mendy (Turner-Lill); bonus daughter (it’s complicated) Cami (Owen-Logan) Dunlap and husband Van; her grandchildren Dayne Logan, Addie (Dunlap) Weinzirl, Zack Logan, Brian Logan, Jami Logan, Addison Logan, Alyssa Logan, Chase Logan, Victoria (Leubscher) Rosu, Sam Lill, Brittan Lill, and Mason Lill; and her great-grandchildren Henry Logan, Harper Logan, and Evan Lill.
