Lily Mae Cron, 86, of Kingman, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at her home in Kingman. Lily was born the daughter of Leonard and Artive Fite on December 13, 1935 on the family farm near Rocky, OK. Lily was baptized at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on January 20, 1950 by Brother Clinton Smart. Lily and Jimmie Leroy Cron were united in marriage on Dec. 13, 1954 in Perryton, TX. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage before his passing in October of 2004. Over the years she operated a daycare and helped run the family business of Cron's Music Store in Hobart, OK. She worked at multiple Senior Centers as a cook over the years and greatly enjoyed co-workers and senior citizens. When she could no longer work at the Senior Centers she became a frequent visitor, she enjoyed the fellowship and playing games. She simply loved people. She loved large family gatherings and spent great effort preparing huge meals. She never met a stranger and immensely enjoyed games of any kind. She was extremely competitive and loved to talk trash in the process. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter; Mary LaKrisha Cron, grandson; David Marcus Rhodes, granddaughter; Rachel LeAnne Cron, siblings; Glenn Fite, Claud Fite, Joe Fite and Troy Fite. Survivors include her children; Nancy Rhodes of Custer City, OK, Linda (Richard) Nation of Spencer, IN, David (Shauna) Cron of Kingman, KS, Jonathan (Brenda) Cron of Kernersville, NC, Darla Sandefur of Hobart, OK, siblings; Lou Deutschendorf of Amarillo, TX, Pat Sullins, Clinton, OK, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, KS. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 14, 2022 at General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, 3742 S. West, Wichita, Kansas. Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers; memorials can be made to the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, Wichita, Kansas.
