Borst, Leo A. 92, passed away on March 27, 2017. Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday and Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M on Friday, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. He was born in Voorhout, Holland and grew up working in the family bulb business. Later, during WWII he was forced to work in the labor camps in Germany. After the war in 1948, he came to the United States where he worked for Boeing and Meyers Nursery until he started his own business, Borst Nursery and Garden Center. He ran this company for 50 years. He went back home to Holland to visit family often and extensively travelled both the U.S. and Europe. He was an active member of his church, he loved going out to eat and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Walter Borst; daughter, Mary Beth Borst; sisters, Tina Witteman and Beb Borst; brothers, Art Borst, Hans Borst and Cor Borst. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Kathleen Borst; sons, Steve Borst, Dan Borst and Joe Borst; daughter, Kathe (John) Bistline; brothers, John Borst, Jake Borst, Wim Borst and Gerard Borst; sisters, Mary Vandendam, Ida Vanderaar, Ellie, Ria and Leotina; grandchildren, Adam Borst, Josh Bistline, Jessica (Justin) Moyer and Jeremy Bistline; great grandchildren, Olivia, Russell, Madison, Maycie, Truman, Aiden, Eli, Ashton and Ethan.
