Larry earned his master’s and PhD in organic chemistry before earning his doctorate in medicine to become one of Wichita’s most respected psychiatrists. He was a dedicated physician—he both loved and was loved by his patients. He was inquisitive, enjoyed science, and was always eager to learn. He was active in his church and enjoyed studying scriptures. Outside of work, he enjoyed snow and water skiing, going to the gym, several sports including baseball and basketball, reading, and was very active in the church leading a life devoted to his faith in Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents—Milton and Hilda Pankow. Larry is survived by his ex-wife—Kimberly Pankow, sons—Christopher and Dr. Jonathan Pankow, grandchildren—Daxton, Ava, Joshua, and Teagan Pankow, sister—Karen Alfson, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Private services were held for Larry.
