Larry Lee Hopkins

age 83, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Larry was born September 8, 1938 to Riley and Opal (Rutledge) Hopkins.

He graduated West high school class of 1956 (the third graduating class of West high school). After high school he joined the National Guard where he served 11 years. He married the love of his life Sandra in 1958 together they had 2 children Larry Jr., and Jennifer.

He was a Budget Analyst for KG&E, Western Resources, and Kansas Gas Service for over 40 years.

Larry enjoyed all sports, playing golf, he built model cars, watching drag racing, attending 50's car shows, and spending time with his family. He was an active member in church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister Evadne Sue (Hopkins) Stephens.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Sandra; 2 children Larry (Donna) Hopkins Jr., Jennifer (Mark) Moore; 9 grandchildren, Ariana, Jordan, Jesse, Joanna, Isaac, Asher, Megan, Derek, and Kacee; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A visitation with family for Larry will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Following the visitation with family will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM at Meridian Avenue Baptist Church, 200 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67203.
