Mary & family, I just read the e-mail about Ken's death, Susan Macy forwarded it to me.  My Thoughts and Prayers are with you, I know exactly the challenge of life right now.  I lost Art last August 22, 2011. I had my healthy, active husband for 7 months after his diagnosis of stage 4 in the head of the Pancreas, that had already spread to the liver, lungs and blocking the bile duct.  No symptoms except jaundice Jan 26, 2010 after a clean bill of health at his physical onf Dec 6, 2010.

I had the difficult task of stepping into Ken's shoes at the Kansas Agriculture Network 11 years ago after he retired.  He will be missed and the Berg family is in our prayers.

We were so sorry to hear about Ken passing away.  He was such a wonderful neighbor and friend.  I'll never forget the night I accidentally set off our home alarm and didn't get it turned off in time which resulted in the alarm company calling Ken and Marty to check on us.  Ken called my cell phone but my assurance that we were okay wasn't enough.  He and Marty came down to our house at 1:30 a.m. to see with their own eyes that we were okay.  Going the extra mile and caring was what Ken was all about. We will miss you Ken.  Rest in peace.

What a difference a word makes when you don't proof read what is written.  I was embarrassed to see that I chose the word NOT instead of NOW in my sympathy to the family.  Ken definitely has arrived in his heavenly home and there was never a doubt.  Sorry for the slip.

Sorry Marty to hear about Ken. Glad I got to know him at the "Y". Joyce and I enjoyed him a lot. Our prayers are with you.

Ken was a wonderful neighbor, always friendly and willing to help out. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to know him. He will be missed.

I worked with Ken at WIBW Radio/Kansas Agriculture Network in Topeka.  He was a pleasure to work with and a lot of fun to be around.   My thoughts and prayers are with Marty and the family.

I am sad to hear of Ken's passing.  He took a chance on me long ago and I will be forever grateful for his kindness.

Ken has been a long time friend and mentor to me as he assisted in advertising and marketing for our bank.  He leaves a wonderful legacy and was so very proud of his family.  God bless all of you and Ken as he is not on his eternal journey with God.

It's with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a good friend and fellow radio employee!  Everyday that we worked at former KXLK radio I never saw Ken in a bad mood.  He was always upbeat and easy to get along with.  His family was the light of his life!  Ken beamed most when conversation was about his sons Scott and Kevin.  I will miss running into him somewhere in Wichita, stopping to share talks about family and radio friends.  May the good Lord give Marty, Scott, Kevin and family comfort and peace during this difficult time!
