Smith, Kathleen Rae, 65, born December 15, 1950, passed away on October 12, 2016. Kathleen worked as a Blood Services Coordinator for the American Red Cross and was the President of St. Mary's Alter Society in Newton, KS. She always enjoyed shopping, going to estate and garage sales, and craft shows. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Fredrick Smith; parents, John Looney and Evelyn Sapp; and brother, J.R. "Buddy" Looney. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Sexton, Patricia (Billy Joe) Daniels and Connie (Calvin) Swisher; brother, C. Michael (Cheryl) Looney; and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on Sunday, October 16, at 6:00 PM, with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
