A lifelong resident of Wichita, Judy graduated from West High School in 1964. She married Jerry Brummett in 1970, and they were married for 52 years. They had one son, Brian, and two grandkids, Meghan and Alex.
Judy was loved by everyone she met. She worked at Learjet for 9 years until her health forced her to retire. She was very patriotic, and volunteered through the VFW, where she was known as “Twinkle Toes” for the sparkly shoes she wore. She also worked with the 8-40 organization which helps military children, and volunteered helping the homeless by knitting scarves and hats, and working at the Lord’s Diner.
She was always there for anyone who needed help in any way. Her family meant everything to her. She had countless friends, and didn’t know a stranger. She had a very good sense of humor. And she was a wonderful cook, and a very good mother and wife.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She left very fond memories, and will never be forgotten.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; her son, Brian; two grandchildren Meghan and Alex; and her sister Carol, and brother Don.
A come-and-go memorial will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203.
