Joy Hartman

Hartman, Joy D., 81, of Wichita, KS. Passed away on Friday March 16, 2018. Joy was born on April 11, 1936 in Wichita, KS. the daughter of Lynn and Vera Skelton. Joy and J.C. were united in marriage in 1956 in Wichita, KS. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Joy was retired with 25 years of service at Bleiers IGA as well as Lowe’s commercial sales.. She was proceeded in death by her husband, J.C. as well as a son, Jay Clayton. Joy is survived by 2 daughters, Janis (Jerry) Eveland of Wichita, and June (Vince) Draper of Wellington, Ks., brother, Jack Skelton of Wichita, Ks. and a sister-in-law, Jane Rhodes of Derby, KS.; grandchildren, LeAnn (Jeff) Norris, Chris Fullerton, Megan (Brandon) Miller, Amanda (Dustin) Brown, JD Eveland, Chris (Shawna) Eveland and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday March 20, 2018 from 4-8pm, with family accepting friends from 6-8 pm. Services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 10:00 am both at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, KS. 67211.
