My Mother In-Law

My biggest regret is that I wasn't able to know you. I know a lot about you from your wonderful family and wish that I could have been around sooner to witness your love, kindness and strength first hand.

They say, "A man who treats his wife like a princess was raised by a Queen." I truly believe this and hope that I fulfill your expectations of me as your daughter in-law.

There is not a day that goes by that someone misses you in some way. Your pictures are hanging in our hallway and your beautiful paintings are on display in our living room for all to see, and to serve as a memory to the woman who mothered the man I love deeply.

Like everyone else, I wish I had one more day so that I could meet you... Please don't be surprised if I call on you from time to time. I have so much to talk to you about, so much to learn; so many family secrets, so many secret recipes to share...

Dear family of Jo McClure, I just want to share with you that your mom and dad lived on my street in Haysville, for several years.  They were such pleasant neighbors.  And your mom loved to paint.  I treasure one of those pictures hanging on my wall, and think of her every time I look at it.

My Aunt Jo.  Love, Love Love.  We did not have Grandparents to go and see we went to Aunt Jo and Uncle Virgils.  We had the best time's ever hanging with Cousin Nelson and the candy store.  Miss you, but glad you are now with Uncle Virgl and Mom & Dad.    Diana Kay McClure
