John Eldred Riggs

John E. Riggs 92, passed away November 7, 2016. John was born in Trinidad, Colorado, he entered the United States Marine Corps in 1942 and was a member of the Commemorative Air Force Jayhawk Wing in Wichita. He was a chief pilot for Kaneb Pipeline, a member of the Wichita Radio Control Club and Chisolm Trail Rec. He was preceded by parents, William and Margaret Riggs; wife, Nancy; daughter, Mary; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. John is survived by wife, Louise Koelling; granddaughters, Victoria (Keith) Murray and Cassie Iocco both of Georgia; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Ethel Dolan of Oklahoma; brother, Robert (Marge) Riggs of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 1p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Commemorative Air Force Jayhawk Wing, 2560 S. Kessler, Wichita, KS. 67217.
