Armstrong, John (Jack) C., 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 10, 2010. He was born in Wichita, KS on November 27, 1925 to Viola & Castle Armstrong. He served in the Merchant Marines and the US Navy.
He celebrated 59 years of marriage to his wife Joyce (Breit) whom he married on August 22, 1950.
He worked as a Master Plumber for USD 259 B.O.E. He retired in 1988 and enjoyed 22 years of retirement.
During his retirement years he worked part time in his son’s plumbing business, Armstrong Plumbing, Inc. as warehouse manager. He is preceded in death by his father Castle Armstrong, his mother Viola (Warrell) and stepfather Jack Tucker, his brother Bob and his sister Ruby Abel.
He is survived by his devoted wife Joyce, his daughters; Donna Schreck (Brian), Linda Schauf (Bill), Debra Towey (Kelly), his sons: Bob Armstrong (Dana), Mark Armstrong (Theresa), sister-in-law Diana (Breit) Wolfe, brothers-in-law Ken Breit, Fred Abel and 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Rosary, 7pm, Wed. May 12, at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Chapel, Funeral Mass, 10am Thurs., May 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
