John Brown's colleagues at Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society just recently learned of his passing.  We appreciated his involvement with our organization and extend our condolences to all of his family.

Michelle, Brownie sent me a letter with a start date on it and actually hired me.. That started a long period of admiration and respect. (me for him) He was a wonderful person to work for and talk to when there was an opportunity. He will be greatly missed by many.. and more especially by your family. I'm sorry for your loss.

I worked for Brownie at IBM for many years. It was my pleasure to have been one of his employees. He was a very good friend to Darlene and myself. We both enjoyed many good times with him and Lucille. He will be very much missed in our lives. Gene and Darlene Anderson

To the family of "Brownie" - I worked as a "wet behind the ears" young typewriter salesman for IBM right out of college during the 60's.  Brownie was always willing to give helpful advice, lend a hand with a problem or offer a helpful suggestion.  I have fond memories of him and the help he gave me.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I remember when we were in school and he and your Mom would go out to the Candle Club. He had a great sense of humor, too. I know this is a hard time so draw on the strength and love from Billy, and your kids, and their kids, and your friends. Sending you love and prayers, he's in God's hands now.
