Joe Ann loved her family, above all. To understand that is to understand Joe Ann and all that she did in her life. Having been widowed too soon, Joe went back to college while working at the Boeing Company and received her bachelor’s degree in Total Quality Management (TQM) from Friends University. After retiring from Boeing, she cared for her mother, Lorene, until her passing in 2002.
She loved children and adored her grandchildren. She never passed up an opportunity to hold a baby. Children always brought her joy.
Joe Ann also had a wonderful sense of humor, and sharp wit, a trait she passed on to family members.
She was preceded in death by loving husband, Clinton “LeRoy” Jones; Her father, Lester Cloud, Mother, Lorene Cloud (Chilcoat) and her sis, Linda Kasper (Cloud)
Joe Ann is survived by her sons, Kevin Jones, his wife Lori; Rocky Jones, his wife Randi; grandchildren, Brady Jones, his wife Sarah (Pike), Sidney Patten (Jones) her husband Corey; Aubrey McMillen (Jones) her husband Jeff. Jennifer Parsons (Morris) and her husband Matt. Kelsey Astle (Pracht) and Husband William, and Kaitlyn Martinez (Pracht) her husband Jesus; and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Hillside Funeral Home West, located at 2929 West 13th Street North, Wichita, KS 67203. A funeral service will immediately follow at the same location. Committal will take place after the funeral service at Maize Park Township Cemetery, at 13332 W. 53rd St. N., Maize, KS 67101.
