Mike, I recently learned of the passing of your wife. Please accept my heart-felt condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. Seeing the photographs of her and your family together brought back so many memories about sweet Janet, from grade school on. She had a twinkle in her eye and a smile that were somehow both optimistic and empathetic. I remember how when I'd just moved from NYC to Mary Benton in 4th grade, she was so welcoming to this nervous young new classmate. I remember how she went on a vacation with her family  during the summer and sent me the most thoughtful letter in the mail. Her optimism and enthusiasm were so heartfelt. I can only imagine what a beautiful mother she was to you two girls. I will always remember how she'd always have chewing gum and the cutest, peppiest way about her. Most of all, I remember how when she met you, Mike, she had a glow about her. You two were so radiant and in love, such sweethearts, always hand in hand. Sharing such a bond over so many years and stages of your lives is something that time cannot diminish. My very deepest sympathies to each of you. She is fondly remembered, and greatly missed.

The loss of Janet is heartbreaking. She was a shining light. She could make me laugh until there were tears streaming down my face and no sound coming out! Her family was her joy and I am so sorry for your loss. We are here if you need us.

I remember how Janet made every thing seem fun and everyone was welcome to be in on the joke. In grade school, she would give up her recess to stay in with me, playing a board game.I always knew when she cheated because I would win the game if and only if she cheated-to lose! I will miss her.
