Jane was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, talented equestrian. A lifetime east Wichita resident, she raised two daughters and participated in the upbringing of two stepdaughters with former husband Roger Wilson.
Jane had a big heart for her many furry companions she loved and cared for over the years, including dogs, cats, and horses. She had a passion for politics and world events as well as a memorable sense of personal style. Jane was a music lover and pianist. She enjoyed traveling; over the years she made many fond memories while adventuring with close friends and family.
She was preceded in death by Lionel D. Alford, husband; Dr. M. Robert and Elizabeth Knapp, parents; and Peter Knapp, brother.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Kristen Winters and Elizabeth (Garth) Hentges; grandchildren Holden, Alexandria, and Camlann; stepdaughters Kathy (Steve) Hirschi and Sara (Chris) Ruckman; sister, Wendy Neudecker; and former husband Roger Wilson.
Graveside service for Jane will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, KS 67206.
