Rouse, James Elmore, 86, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went to be with the Lord March 24, 2017. James was a Korean and Vietnam veteran and retired US Army. He coached baseball, worked on cars, played canasta and pitch, and enjoyed watching westerns. He was preceded by his wife, Bernice; son, Mark Allen Rouse; brothers, Lawrence, Carl, and Beau Arvin, and Bob Rouse; and sisters, Carrie Cara and Wynona Porter. He is survived by sons, Steven (Thena) and Clifford (Kimberly); daughter, Ruth (Mike) Mueller; grandchildren, Jennifer (Casey) Tanner, Jason Rouse, Amanda Hassall, Tessa Rouse, Julie Valentine, Jill Gibbons, Tala and Tori Rouse; and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27 from 6-8 pm and funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 3:00 pm, both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kansas Korean War Veterans Association (www.kwva.org).
