I am sorry that I missed making it to Wichita to say my farewells.  You was an inspiration to me in my years as a youth.  You will be missed by many! 

We will miss you Uncle Charles.  You touched the lives of all who knew you.

Sorry for your loss, Tom.  Please find peace in the knowledge you will see him again.

My condolences for Betty, Tom & Ellen, Vicki and LeRoy and the rest of the family for your loss.  Even though we know that Ivan is in a better place and no longer feeling any pain and I am glad he is with the Lord, he will be missed!  He was such a caring man, laughed alot, hugged alot and I got to know him and Betty which I am thankful for and also see what a wonderful love relationship he had with Betty that gives me hope.

A Godly man with a servant's heart who touched the live's of many. He was a fine example of a true christian & will be forever in our hearts.

Dearest Betty and family, We are sad to see Chuck leave our lives but praising his welcome party in Heaven. We will miss his hugs, encouragement, and his gentle way of "roughing up" the kids. Our love to you all. Chuck, we will see you soon, friend!

You are in our thoughts and prayers and we are thinking of you during this difficult time.

Tom and Ellen and family, we are so sorry for your loss and we will certainly miss him, he was a wonderful person and always wanted to be sure and say hi and shake everyone's hand.  We know he is down doing that upstairs.

Knowing Ivan for the past seven years as his next door neighbors provided us with some insight as to who he was during his lifetime:  upbeat, energetic, active, kind, and compassionate. Seeing he and Betty working on the yard is testimony to the fruits of their hard work; a beautiful home for two beautiful people.  

In many other ways, Ivan was a great role model for us, and probably all who knew him. Married 68 years to his wife, generous to all, and helpful in times of need; his actions required no accompanying words.

Two years ago, Ivan built us a garden bench which we can see from our back door.  Solid construction, a place to view nature, relax, and enjoy the pleasant side of life.  What an appropriate way to remember Ivan each and every day.

Ivan left most conversations with a hearty "God Bless."  It's our turn to say "Ivan, may God bless you."  Should it end any other way?

I will surely miss Ivan's hugs and his sweet sentiments.  What a Godly man he was.  May you all be blessed and comforted in knowing Ivan has made it home, and suffers no longer.

"Mr. Hawks" as he was known to us then was our baseball coach the summers of 1960 and 1961 for our Bel Aire team. Bel Aire was a new housing development at the time with a lot of space between it and Wichita. He was a kind and humorous man who was as much of a kid as we were. Two wonderful summers that I will always cherish.

Thank you "Mr. Hawks" for sharing a part of your life with us.

A mighty warrior has gone home to be with his Commander!  What a joy for Chuck Hawks!  His hearty hugs and rowdy voice will be missed by more than a few people, especially at GPCC.  I always looked forward to my big hug and "how are ya, Kiddo?" each Sunday morning at church!  I know Chuck is even now welcoming those coming into heaven today!  His life revealed his knowledge of and love for his Lord. What an example of Christian life he left for us to follow. God has given him His richest gift...life forever in His presence!

It was an honor to know this gracious man.  Our lives will be better because of his example...Love to all the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.  May your memories bring you comfort.
