Shockey, Helen, 89, retired Air Force personnel specialist passed away April 10, 2013. Helen was an avid golfer, bowler and a WSU fan. She was a member of Kansas Women’s Golf Association and a riveter during WWII on the B-29. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Grace Shockey; brothers, Lauren and Lloyd Shockey; sisters, Doris Meyers and Alma Wadsack. Her survivors are brother, Glenn Shockey; sister, Evelyn Simon; multiple nieces and nephews. Graveside service is 1:00 pm Saturday, April 13 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory with visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
