Helen Margaret Brown, 79, passed away on March 1, 2017. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK on December 17, 1937. Helen completed high school at Midwest City, OK, and graduated from Central Christian College in Bartlesville, OK. Precedimg her in death are parents Cecil and Wilma Schott, sisters Ruth Gibson, Corinne Giddens, daughter Kathryn Brown. Helen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles, son Toby (ArFang) Brown of Denver, CO and sister Jean Spence of OKC, OK. She was a longtime devoted bridge player, achieving a Life Master status. Music was an interest of Helen’s; she enjoyed taking classes at Wichita State University and also language (German) classes. She was a great fan of opera and attended performances with Charlie around U.S. including the Met in New York City. A supporter of Opera Kansas, she enjoyed attending local performances. Helen was a big fan of the Kansas City Royals baseball. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, March 6, 2017 funeral service at 10:30 am, with committal following all at Lakeview.
