Harry Douglas Cook, of Wichita, Kansas, born on October 1, 1949 in Oswego, Kansas, to the late Doris Eugenia Cook and the late Samuel Merle Cook, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas at the young age of 69. Harry graduated from Labette County High School. From 1969 to 1991, Harry proudly served in the US Navy. He then worked in the Aviation industry as a flight test mechanic at Bombardier, Lear Jet until he retired once again in 2010. Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Norval Scott Cook. He is survived by his daughter, Jany Marie Lesslie, son-in-law Kevin E Lesslie; brothers, Kenneth Cook and Bryant Cook; grandson, Alexander Jacob Lesslie, adopted granddaughter Caroline Arragones and her daughter Kaylani Detel. He also leaves behind his dog, Raja Sue. Donations in Harry's name to Amedisys Foundation are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family members are invited to attend the memorial service, officiated by Chaplain Terry Deaver, on Saturday, February 23 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at RESTHAVEN MORTUARY, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209. There will be a reception for family following the service.
