Harold P. McKown

Harold Preston McKown, age 79, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 19, 2015. Harold was born in Hartford, AR on October 16, 1935. He was employed by Cessna Aircraft for 39 years, achieving the role of superintendent of tooling. Faith, family and friends meant the world to him as he and his wife of 58 years raised their four children and watched their six grandchildren grow. He enjoyed doing woodworking and craft projects with his wife. Preceded in death by his wife, Sandra “Sondra” McKown; children Vicki Sue McKown and Randall Ross McKown; parents Mae and Jesse McKown. Survived by his children: Michael (Janice) McKown, Sherry (Daniel) Dolezal all of Wichita, and Shelly (David) Balleau of Evergreen, CO; grandchildren Chad and Shawn McKown, Christopher, Jennifer, and Matthew Dolezal, and Victoria Balleau; and brother James (Jackie) McKown. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Hillside Funeral Home West. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Hillside Funeral Home West.
