Harold and his wife Betty were our wonderful neighbors at Sandpiper Bay for several years.  Wonderful people, wonderful memories. Unforgettable. Godspeed Harold and Betty, now eternally reunited. Again, unforgettable.

Miss B,  don't think your dad could have had a better and more caring daughter.  I know you and the rest of the family will miss your daddy.

Harold was the "Godfather" of Water Street. He could tell great stories and answer about any mechanical question you had. I will always remember him tooling around in one his hoopty's down the road or out in his garden and he always made time for anyone and always smiled and waved. It was our honor to know him. When you saw Harold out and about you knew things on Water street were as they should be. He was Old School cool.

My heartfelt sympathy for the entire Bliss family. He was a true friend to my father who worked with him for many years at Cessna. My dad shared many stories of eating breakfast twice a month. My dad always looked forward to the Tuesday morning breakfast with Harold. Those that know Harold passed on Sunday and the very next day my father passed. I truly believe that the two of them walked together to the pearly gates of heaven. Just like they did for over 40 years at cessna. RIP

My deepest sympathy to the Bliss family.  I didn't know your father personally but, my father Michael knew him (my father passed in August).  A group of Cessna retires would meet for breakfast once a month and your father was one of the group.  My father always spoke very kindly of Harold. May you find comfort in knowing how he touched peoples lives.

I was so sorry to hear about Harold's passing. He was like a second father to me and I loved going to their house as there was always wonderful company with Betty and Harold and whoever else stopped by to visit that day. Betty is a wonderful cook and I always had and ongoing invitation for dinner or whatever meal was being served at that time. It is true that Harold never met a stranger and he would do anything for anybody and stop whatever he was doing to do it. Harold and Betty always treated me like just one of the kids except I didn't get spankings like Bruce and Cheri did as that was the punishment that everyone we knew received in their household.I will never forget a small Chevy Sprint that I had blown the clutch on and I gave it to Harold for helping me sell a car. He drove it around the neighborhood like it was a go kart it was so funny to see his big stature in that little car buzzing around the neighborhood. It alway scared Cheri as she thought he was going to roll it over in the ditch!! I only wish that I would have went to see him and Betty. I thought about it many times but it seemed like things always came up. It just goes to show that life is too short and that we should follow through with Things We Believe we should do. I will always regret that. Rest in peace Harold and prayers to your large wonderful family!! I could go on and on about how wonderful Harold was to me but I know he will always be in my heart.

Rest Harold, until you hear at dawn,

My deepest sympathies to Betty, Bev, Cheri, Chris and Bliss family. It was a pleasure having had the chance to know Harold. I always thought of him as a genuine and kind man and my mom always regarded him highly. I am comforted knowing she will help watch over him as they both keep watch over all of us.

I knew Harold for many years at Cessna and he was a fantastic person.  My prayers go to the family.

Harold was always wonerful to my daughter Betty Janene Hurst.  He and his wife were like a secoun Mother and Dad to her.  She loved them dearly!  She and their daughter Cheri were the very best of friends for many years!  Also her sister Beverly Bliss!  He was so much fun to be around!  Also his wife! L
EVERYONE TOOK THEIR CARS TO HIM TO REPAIR AND HE ALWAYS DID SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB,  Heaven isreceiving another beautiful soul.

My deepest condolences on the loss of this wonderful man. It was my privilege to know Harold during his stay at Derby Health and Rehab, and I occasionally was able to help him with his PT. He spoke highly of his family, and was a joy to work with.

My heartfelt sympathys go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope the words in 1 Thessalonians 4 : 14 can bring you some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

My Grandpa was so much more than your typical awesome Grandpa. He was on a completely different level. Ray and I grew up living with Grandpa & Grandma so he was more like a bonus Dad. My Grandparent's house was the house all our friends hung out at growing up and I wouldn't have had it any other way. My uncle Bruce said, "You always knew where you stood with him because he told you how he felt whether you liked it or not." I can't express just how accurate that statement is. He was such an amazing person. My kids are so incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with their Great Grandparents because most don't get that opportunity. The world will not be the same without him.

Uncle Harold, you were a wonderful man and one of my favorite people. So thankful we had our recent time together. You're at peace now; thanks for so many great memories. See you on the other side.

Cousin Harold will be truly missed.  R.I.P. Harold.
