H. Harold Reed

H. Harold Reed, age 97, HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic and member of Local No. 29 of Wichita, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Harold was born April 22, 1918, in rural Coffey County, KS, the son of Henry H. and Maude F. (Laws) Reed. On May 17, 1938, he married Lila P. (Mills) in Emporia, KS. She died May 15, 2006. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Lila Baker; great granddaughter, Katlin; sister, Rovilla Storrer; brother, Thomas M. Reed. Survivors inlcude: daughters, Brenda (Jackie) Byrd, Hillsboro, Rita (Jim) Wiggins, Forsyth, MO; sister, Carol (Ken) Allan, Emporia; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Friday; funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, both at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita; burial will follow at Gridley Cemetery, KS. A memorial has been established with South Riverside Baptist Church, PO 16176, Wichita, KS 67216.
