Oelkers, Gayla Joanne, 79, passed away July 25, 2014. Gayla was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, active 81 Speedway supporter, and avid garage saler. She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Oelkers and daughter Ginger Gordon. She is survived by sister Dorie Brensinger; sons Robbie (Nancy) Zink and Jeff Oelkers; daughter Debbie (David) Ricke; step children Ron Oelkers and Rhonda Dehncke; 2 nieces; grandchildren Jason Rowland, Cody Zink, Colton Ricke, Briar Oelkers, Jayden Ricke, Bailee Zink, Keaton Ricke, and Breanna Ricke; great-grandchildren Josh and Aaron Rowland. Viewing will be held July 29 from 3-8 p.m. with the family receiving 6-7 p.m. at Resthaven. Funeral services will be held July 30 at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
