Gary Edward Morgan, age 74, passed away on March 30, 20202. He was born in Flint, Michigan on March 25, 1946 to George Edward Morgan and Florence Jane (Lawrence) Morgan. The family moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1950, and he lived most of his life there.
Gary enjoyed many diverse occupations before a surgery left him permanently disabled at age 42. For several years after the surgery, he enjoyed helping with the First Baptist Church Neighborhood Breakfast Ministry and clothing room ministry, as well as participating in activities such as snow and water ski trips sponsored by St. Joseph Hospital rehab program for disabled adults. After multiple strokes left him unable to live alone, his final years were spent at Manor Care/Wichita Center, where he passed away March 30, 2020 after a brief respiratory illness. In spite of his difficulties, Gary was a joyful, positive person with a wry sense of humor. He liked helping others and sought adventure in life.
