Gale Allen Gering

Gale Allen Gering, age 78, retired Dental Technician for Pearce-Turk Dental Lab, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis - Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wichita, Kansas. Gale was born August 2, 1936 in Anthony, Kansas, the son of Edward A. and Anna K. (Wedel) Gering. On February 14, 1960, he married Wanda Faye Richards in Wichita, Kansas. Gale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil Gering; and sister, Pearl Gering. Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Wanda F. Gering, of the home; children, Rick and wife, Cindy Gering, Goshen, Indiana, Connie and husband, Gary Williams, Bentonville, Akansas; brother, Donald Gering, Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Gerad, Christopher, Ashley, Amber, and Tiffany; great grandchildren, Peyton, Addyson, Brooklyn, and Colton. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday with family present; funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014, both at Hillside Funeral Home, 935 North Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Interment will follow immediately at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, Kansas. A memorial has been established with Friendship Baptist Church, 2209 East Pawnee, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
