Marguerite J (McCool) Howard. John having been in the United States Air Force took the family many places, giving Kay the travel bug early on.
Settling in Kansas after John's retirement, After Kay graduated from Wellington High School in 1970. She worked as an interior decorator, window dresser for Lewins, Macy's and Jeans Unlimited in downtown Wichita.
She met John J Cammon III. Who was also in the Air Force and they were married. Being a military wife took her on great travels including Guam where her first child John J Cammon IV (J.J.) would be born on St Patrick's Day 3/17/1975. Two years later a daughter Gwendolyn (Wendy) Rae Cammon was born 9/18/1977.
After John retired from the United States Air Force they settled down in Chicago.
Kay had that entrepreneur spirit about her, having started several side businesses while being a stay at home mom. Cake decorating, neighborhood newspaper, home interiors, floral arrangements, and balloon deliveries were just a few.
Unfortunately they lost their daughter Wendy on Kay's 30th birthday. Which almost destroyed her. After taking some time to heal, she decided to try her luck at comedy and was a great success for many years. This opportunity gave her the chance to travel the nation, meeting celebrities talking her story.
J.J. grew up and met Heather Billionis and they had three children. The first John J. Cammon V (Johnny) born 7/22/1999, second Alexander J Cammon (Alex) born 12/26/2000, and third Mariah Rae Cammon born 12/5/2003. As the grandkids got older Kay decided to move back to Kansas permanently to be closer to them. They were Kay's everything.
Kay developed some health problems and was unable to go and do much recently. She was a fighter to go through what she did in life and be able to make us all laugh ourselves silly. She lived life on her terms. We all feel a void. We love you and miss you, until we meet again. Love you G-ma Kay.
Kay is survived by, son John J Cammon IV and daugher-in-law Heather Cammon, grandchildren Johnny Cammon, Alex Cammon, and Mariah Cammon.
Sister Margie Schaber, sister Debbie Alexander, brother John Howard, and sister Virginia McCord.
