Floyd retired from Cessna Aircraft of 40 years as a mechanic. He was a member of the Wichita Carving Club and the Sedgwick County Sheriff Reserves. During his free time he enjoyed to go hunting, dancing and fishing.
Floyd was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by: his widowed wives, Denise Turner and Mary Brown; his daughter, Patty; his son, Mike; infant son, Stevie; along with his parents, Donald and Belva; and sister, Violet (James) Kates.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Theresa; his children: Teresa (Terry) Sherwood, Christopher (Tabitha) Fletcher, and Diann Barr; his brothers: John (Mary) Fletcher, Harvey (Cathy) Dasis Fletcher, and Jerry Fletcher; his sisters, Ladonna Rice and Linda (Charlie) Lyle; along with 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 A.M., both at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 East Grand Street, Wichita, Kansas 67218. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Good Shepherd, Wichita.
