Hall, Emmet E. (Gene), 92, passed away January 16, 2014. He was born January 10, 1922 in Hamilton County Indiana to Harry and Ruth Hall. He lived in Noblesville Indiana and graduated from high school in 1939. In February 1942 he enlisted in the US Army Aviation Cadets, was called to active service January 1943. He graduated from Navigation School in December 1943, eventually serving on the 8th Air Force stationed in England. On June 14, 1945 he married Loismae Pierce of Wichita Kansas. He was put on active duty in October 1946, and attended Wichita State University, graduating in May 1948. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1950 and worked with various oil and gas producers and drillers until 1988 when he retired from Zenith Drilling Corporation. Along with his wife, Lois he was a founding member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in 1952 with the church being held in their garage for several months until another place of worship was available. He enjoyed traveling to foreign countries and with his wife Lois visited 27 different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa as well as most of the United States. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Allen Lathem, Patrick and Sheery Hall, Terri Lynn Hall, all of Wichita Kansas and Michael Hall and Lawrence Hall of Tulsa Oklahoma, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. His wife Lois and daughter Trudy Lathem preceded him in death. Viewing is 3 to 8 pm Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary. Services will be held 10:00 am Monday, Jan. 20 at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice.
