92, retired bookeeper from Gard'N Wise Distributors, passed away January 6, 2016. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church and former member of Woodland Baptist Church. She was former president of the Kansas Art Guild, member of Watercolor Society, Oil Painters Association, and active in the Home Demonstration Unit. She was also a Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Brownie Scout Leader. Elsie was preceded in death by husband, Harold Pharis; parents, Claire (Jessie) Martin; sisters, Opal Martin, Hazel Martin, Myrtle Holladay, and Melva Hyer; and brothers Carroll Martin and Emory Martin. She is survived by son, Mike Pharis; daughter, Alana Pharis; granddaughter, Amy Pharis; and Karen Wheeler. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary and Celebration of Life Service 10 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS.
