Eddie D. Brown

Brown, Eddie D, 78, retired Chief Master Sergeant (USAF), passed away August 15, 2011. Service of Remembrance 11 a.m. Saturday, Hillside Funeral Home West. Ed was instrumental in the pursuit of KS State Income Tax equality for military retirees in the U.S. Supreme Court. He was Past President of Wichita Chapter AFA, Charter Member of the Council of Retired Chiefs, big supporter of WSU Baseball and Boeing Logistics Organization. Ed was an avid golfer, member of the Optimist Club, a graduate of North High and a 31 year member of the Air Force. Ed is survived by his wife, Joy of Wichita; son, Barry Lee Brown (Valerie) of Wichita; daughters, Patty Cook of Abilene, TX, Debbie Bonadonna (Phil) of Tallahassee, Florida, Angela Withers (Danny) of Wichita; Grandchildren, Phillip, Jr.(Mandy), Eric (Lisa), Chris, Lacey, Christian & Kayleigh; Great-grandchildren, Vinny, Drew, Jacob & Victoria Joy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
