My Aunt Dorothy was a peach and we all loved her very much. Her brother Eugene was my Dad and they were very close. I have many fond memories of the 6 decades since I was born. She will be greatly missed.

Deanna & Family, I had wondered what ever became of your mother, i had lost contact with everyone after Steve's death.  As one of the neighborhood kids i always looked forward in coming over and playing basketball with your brother, your mom was always so nice to all of us.  When i visit the old neighborhood, i drive down walker or Dooley and go down sedgwick trying to remember where every one lived.  Your folks house, the Parks on walker, Thompsons on sedgwick, along with Lloyd Phelps, over by the fire station, the Hickeys, Sharon and Joann, over on Meridian there was the Hays, Mike, Sharon, Gary, & Karen.  So many memories and as i drive by my parents house on the corner of Sedgwick and Irving, my sister lives there now, the old neighborhood was one where we truly got to know each other.  I am so sorry for your loss, but your mom is rejoicing with her husband and son right now.  God Bless you all.   Phil Harris 

Hi to Nancy & Roy Mullen

Deanna & Family,
Jo Dugas here.  The last few days I have been retrieving a lot of memories from the last 50 or so years that Dorothy and I accumulated.
We have gone through many things during this time.  Some very sad and some happy.
There were 4 of us who were together often for a number of years.  Mary Davis, Lovell Coleman, Dorothy and myself.  Alden Davis used to call us the fearsome foursome.  We had many coffee klatches where we solved all the worlds problems and had generally good conversations.  We went to movies, out to eat, swimming in Thelma's pool, shopping and whatever the day called for.
I always called Dorothy , my graceful klutz, because I do not know how many times she was going along, looking graceful and whack, hit the grass or concrete.
The first time I saw Dorothy at the Medical center, the nurse said she was not cognizant of anyone but I swear she knew who I was.  She said it was great to have good friends.  The last time, she was at the dining table and I do not think she knew.  
By the way, she went to North High with my husband.
She will be greatly missed and the Dorothy personality we knew and loved was missed during her last struggle.   Jo Dugas and Duke Dugas

I had the pleasure of knowing Dorthy and Floyd when I worked on the WFD. I shared many memories of those days at their home when they lived by Aley Park.
