Doris Emelia Ternes

Doris Emelia (Dugan) Ternes, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, surrounded by her family. Doris was born on June 10, 1930. Doris loved spending time with her family. She married the love of her life, LeRoy J. Ternes on August 18, 1953. They have been holding hands every day since then. They raised five wonderful sons. She was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a true example of a life well lived. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church for 60 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Martha Dugan; her sisters: Marlene Dugan, Agnes Doll; brothers: Richard and Joseph Dugan; her son, Gregory Ternes and three grandsons: Jerome, Aaron and Mason Ternes. Doris is survived by her husband, LeRoy Ternes; sons: Stanley Ternes (Janet), David Ternes (Karen), Steve Ternes (Melanie) and Kevin Ternes. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Lawrence Dugan, Norma Dugan Crain, Virginia Dugan Gehlen, Jerome Dugan and Louis Dugan. Doris has 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her. Rosary: 7 p.m. Friday (Feb. 16); Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 17), both at Christ The King Catholic Church, 4411 W. Maple, Wichita 67209.
