Donald R. Doolittle

Donald R. Doolittle, 95, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. Donald was born the son of Charles and Ida Doolittle on December 6, 1927 in Chicago, IL. Donald served in the United States Army during the end of WWII in the Philippines. He worked in construction his whole life and was also a landlord. He lived in Wichita most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Juanita Jean Gateley, who he had three sons with. Sons, Ricky Doolittle and Robert Doolittle; siblings, Charles Doolittle, Vivian Brown, Charlotte McElroy, Naomi Johnson, Faith Yoder. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Norma Claudine Doolittle; son, Michael (Terri) Doolittle, grandchildren, Caitlin (Thomas) Koch, Domenica and Karina Tello, great grandchild Oliver Koch, very close nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm with Celebration of Life following at 1:00 pm at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, Kansas, on Wednesday, 7/19/2023. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver St., Wichita, KS 67208. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Metropolitan Baptist Church.
