Donald Cummings

71, retired after serving Vulcan Chemicals for 29 years as a truck driver/diesel mechanic, lifetime member of the VFW Post #112 who enjoyed bowling and drag racing, passed away April 11, 2017. He was preceded by parents, Daniel and Betty Cummings; in-laws, Ivan and Vera Stansbury; brother, Charles "Chuck" Cummings; sister-in-law, Sharon Baskins; niece, Angela Tankard, nephew, David Harper and niece, Anisha Cummings. Pete is survived by wife of 52 years, Brenda Cummings; son, Kevin (Marilyn) Cummings; daughters, Shona and Crystal Cummings; brothers, Jim and Robert Cummings; sisters, Sondra Maskrid and Sheryl Cummings; seven grandchildren, Leroy VanHoesen, Jacob Cummings, Joshua Cummings, Breeona (Deacon) Elliott, Brittnee Cummings, Heather VanHoesen, Shasti Hillman; nine great grandchildren, Jordynn Totten, Anna Elliott, Shalynn Wilfong, Hanalynn Wilfong, Freyjalynn Hillman, Idunalynn Hillman, Gabby Zamora, Mathew Noseff, Brandon VanHoesen and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory with visitation one hour prior at Resthaven Mortuary.
