Dien Thi Phan

(March 10, 1938 - May 31, 2024)

Dien was born in Long An, Vietnam. She was the ninth child in a family of ten siblings.

Dien spent her early years studying at Tan An high school. Dien earned her teaching certificate in Daigon and became a teacher at Minh Mang elementary school.

In 1964, Dien married Phong T. Duong and they have two children, Phong and Phuong Duong.

Dien's family emigrated to the USA in 1978 and have been living in Wichita, Kansas ever since. In 1982, Maria Dien Phan professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptised to become a member of the Catholic Church. Dien retired from Boeing Aircraft Company after 25 years of service.

On May 31, 2024, Dien passed away peacefully in her home.

Dien is survived by her husband, their two children, and four grandchildren.

A visitation and rosary for Dien will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will occur Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 N Stratford Ln, Wichita, KS 67206.
