My family lived next door to Debbie's family from 1965-72 and Debbie was my babysitter when I was a child.  I still remember how patiently she taught me how to twirl a baton!  My condolences to her family.

Debbie always had a good story... she was a great person with a caring heart. I had the pleasure of her company at the Omni Center with my husband Kelly.  Rest in Peace Debbie.

She did a lot for my family when I was growing up. She was there for my mom in a way that no one else was. She was a member of our family. And we may have drifted apart over the years with jobs, school, and children we have and always will hold a special place for Debbie in our hearts.

We made contact again at the South High Reunions.  I remember Debbie and Jeannie Bourke mainly at Wilson Elementary School.  We had a great time laughing and growing up.  We all became friends in the past few years because of the reuions and emails. I will miss a life long friend.  Bye Debbie!

I did not think she would leave us so soon.  She was a very good friend and one of the most giving persons I have ever had the priviledge to know. Debbie was the back bone of our reunion committee for South High.  She kept track of us and virtually put the entire book and/or CD together.  She spent endless hours working at it.  There are no words to let you all know what is in my heart at this time. Some light and sunshine has left all of us with her passing.  She will live on with us forever.  Debbie and I both shared a great love of books.  She had the best collection and always let me barrow what I wanted. My deepest sympathies to all of you

A butterfly joined me in the garden yesterday landing on one bloom to another as I weeded and watered... couldn't help but think of Debbie and missed her terribly for a moment. Knowing she would be miffed if I allowed much time for sadness, the rest of the quiet time was spent relishing memories and being certain our world was a much better place for her having been with us.

I too am saddened to know of Debbie's passing.  Until the last couple of years we reconnected at the Kechi Playhouse learning we both live here.  Although we had lost touch of each other since the few years after high school with life's many passages, it was good to meet up with her again.  I remember Debbie as being a fun, strong-willed & a down to earth gal.  I'm sure we gave our parents some "anxious" moments!  We had some great times in those high school years. Debbie helped with my insurance for years.  I will miss her not only as a friend but as someone who helped me with all the insurance mysteries.
