Deborah L. Short

Ms. Deborah "Debbie" Louise (Symonds) Short, born on October 19, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Bertha M. Fields and the late W. L. Fields passed away at age 61 on August 10, 2018. She graduated from Campus high school in 1974. Deborah was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Cardin; and "the love of life", her beloved dog, CJ. She is survived by her son Brian Short (Annie) of Wichita; daughter, Dana Bierwas (Dave) of Searsport Maine; brother, Eddie Fields (Johanna) of Wichita; sister, Linda Cole of Wichita; and grandchildren, Hannah Flagg (Nick) of Searsport Maine, Dawson Bierwas of Searsport Maine, Justin Short of Wichita, Logan Short of Wichita, Tristyn Keene of Wichita, and Morrigan Stephenson of Goddard. She also leaves behind her greatly loved dog, Izzy. Deborah was a breast cancer survivor who was incredibly passionate about sewing, and had the greenest thumb we had ever seen.
