Johnston, Deborah Sue, 53, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Debbie was born on the 23rd of April, 1960, to parents Joseph and Mildred Strobbe. She married Raymond Neal Johnston on July 31, 1982, and went on to pursue a career in nursing. Debbie enjoyed working in the labor and delivery unit for many years because she loved witnessing the miracle of new life. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who continually went out of her way to support the goals and achievements of her family. Debbie is survived by her husband: Raymond; daughters: Rachael, Sarah, and Katherine Johnston; mother: Mildred Strobbe; brother: Jerome Strobbe; and sisters: Janise Collins and Diane Lunk. A public celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 14 at Bethel Life Center, 3777 South Meridian, Wichita, Kansas 67217; Brian Folden will be officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. The family suggests sending a donation in Deborah’s name to the American Red Cross – Midway Kansas Chapter, 1900 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67214.
