David "Dave" Earl Walker, 71, born April 13, 1947, in Wichita, KS, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at home. David will be remembered as a proud and devoted father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He worked at Central States Hose in Denver, CO, and retired from Murdock Companies after 22 years in Wichita, KS. He always had his home open to all and was the most considerate host. David served his country with pride in the United States Army during his tour in Vietnam. David is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Lonita Walker and brother, Billy J. Walker, Sr. and survived by his son, Curtis David Walker of Elizabeth, CO; his daughters, Jennifer Marten and Althea Arvin of Derby, KS, grandchildren, August, Noah, Benjamin, Amelia, and Ian, sister, Carolyn Ralstin of Cheney, KS; as well as many nephews nieces and countless dear friends. David will be missed, but will always be loved and remembered by many. An open viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Wed. May 2, 2018, his celebration of life service will be held 10 a.m. Thurs. May 3, 2018 both at Resthaven Mortuary. His committal service with military honors will be held 1:30 p.m. Sat. May 5, 2018 at Resthaven Cemetery in the Garden of the Cross.
