David C. Stone

David C. Stone, age 94, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was born on August 17, 1930 in Ada, Oklahoma to Charlie and Monnie (Potter) Stone. David married the love of his life Charlotte V. (Holstegge) on October 25, 1952 in Wichita. He retired from the United States Air Force as a TSgt on Flight Simulators in 1968. David worked for USPS after retiring from the United States Air Force, until his retirement. He loved square dancing, folk art painting, writing novels, including children's stories and he was known for always joking, joking and joking.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Charlotte Virginia Stone; siblings: Vinnie May, Olga Stone, Alga Loy, Nida Middleton, Martha White, Wanda Metcalf, Marley Pelts, Lureen Dewitt, and Daniel Pelts. Survived by: son, Alan Stone; daughter, Jill Stone Kramme; granddaughter, Hollie Stone Stewart (Matt); grandson, Willis Kai Stone (Stacy); granddaughter, Jessica M. Prilliman Wilson (Chris); great- grandsons: Dillon, Jack and Declan Stewart, and Kyree Prilliman; great-granddaughter, Jade M. Prilliman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6pm-8pm, Funeral Service 10:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver St, Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in memory of David to: Kansas Honor Flight, P.O.
