David Lee Hitt of Wichita, KS passed away February 11, 2023 at his home at the age of 68 and one week to the day. Born in Dodge City, KS to George and Eleanor Hitt on February 4, 1955 David later relocated to Wichita.
David worked for Cessna Aircraft Company for 44 years where he had many different positions retiring from the Spare Parts Department in 2017. In his retirement years David enjoyed volunteering and socializing at his local VFW Post 3115, playing Santa at Christmas, wearing Hawaiian shirts, fishing and riding his motorcycle.
David is survived by: Daughter, Amy Bales (husband Clint) of Denver, CO; Sons: Chris and Jon Hitt of Grand Rapids, MI; Sister, Carol Palmer of Wichita, KS; Stepchildren: Robert Goodale, Carla Reyes, Chris and Sarah Anderson of Wichita, KS.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at noon, Sunday, February 19, 2023 VFW Post 3115, 4801 West Douglas, Wichita KS 67209.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to VFW Post 3115.
