He graduated from Andover High School and then later drafted into The United States Army where he served honorably.
David worked as a mechanic and metal worker for over 30 years for both Boeing/Spirit Aircraft.
He loved camping, boating, fishing, playing chess and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Arthur, Donald and Melvin.
He survived by two children Ginny (Luke) McKay, Brandon (Shannon) Beal; five grandchildren, Dylan, Alexander, Bradyn, Alyssa, and Coltyn; two siblings, Charles Hipsher, James Hipsher and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
