Connie M. Malloy

Connie Dawson-Pitts-Malloy, was born August 31,1925 to Jesse Leroy Dawson and Lena Ozella Rust in Greenwood, Arkansas. At age 19 she married Robert Pitts in 1944 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Later on, the couple moved to Hayesville, Kansas where 3 children were birthed from that marriage. She married Richard W. Malloy in 1957 in Alva, Oklahoma and had 1 daughter, Diane Kay. Connie retired from St. Joseph Hospital of Wichita, Kansas where she worked in the laundry department for many years. Then in 1996, she and Richard moved to Webb City, MO where they resided until his death in 1999. After his death, Connie moved with her family to Kansas City, MO in 2000 where she lived for the past 20 years. She passed in Gladstone, MO a small town within Kansas City, MO on Sunday October 25, 2020. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Malloy; 6 siblings; and daughter, Pamela Thomas. She is survived by sisters, Dorthey James and Julie Clancy; daughter, Barbara Andersen; son, Larry Pitts; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a few great-great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Resthaven Mortuary in the garden of Devotion.
