Colleen Alma Baker

Baker, Colleen Alma, 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Sept. 4, 2014. Colleen was a executive secretary for KG&E and longtime member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was an active and supportive mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd “Bud” Denker. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Howard C. “Pete” Baker; sons, Dennis H. (Ginger) Baker of The Woodlands, TX, Robert Baker of Wichita; grandchildren, Lindsey Baker, Ross (Amanda) Baker, Krista (Brian) Hutton and 7 great grandchildren; cousin, Clarence Lucas of Shawnee Mission. Viewing is 3 to 8 pm Monday with family receiving friends 6 to 7 pm at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 10:30 am Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Grace Presbyterian Church. Burial is 3:30 pm Tuesday at Lakin-Commanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67208.
