Dear Chris,

When we were little girls growing up, we shared pieces of our childhood.  I always looked forward to spending time with you.  You could always make me smile.  You held a special place in my heart that no one else could fill.  Together, we created a book of beautiful memories.  Those pictures remain in my mind and heart.  It has only been 7 days since you passed away.  It seems so surreal to me.  I know and believe that you are finally at peace.  I regularly told you how much I admired your incredible bravery.  You are now in heaven with the rest of the family and the fur babies that met you at the Rainbow Bridge.  Life hasn’t ended, it is only changed.  We were two cousins, side by side, sharing some of the best days of our lives.  This isn’t good-bye.  It’s “see you later.”

My beautiful forever Sister friend! Always there for me you always knew when to call and always were leading me into  believing that  the best was yet to come !! You led the way, and I will forever  hear you in my heart !! Your love for the girls meant the world to me !!! In my life for 62 years , God Blessed me !!!  You are in my Heart  Forever!!!!!

I feel forever blessed  to have Chris in my life as my “Aunt Chris”. She was truly an Aunt figure in my life and my mom Cathyanne’s best friend. Aunt Chris was always there for me when I needed someone to talk to. She helped me through so many life moments and I will miss her talks so much. Chris had such a spark and a contagious personality that could always make you laugh and smile . She is was a devoted friend to all. I am so sad to have to say goodbye to Chris. I was her hairstylist for approximately 30 years. Due to the nature of our relationship, I heard all about her family, friends and adventures on the job as a nurse. She always had a story and she listened to my stories too. I could always count on her to make a sarcastic dig and I would throw it right back at her. We had real conversations and we knew each other through the many celebrations and trials of our lives. 
My most special memories involve cat conversations, hearing about Steve & Russ and a lot about her niece Aubrey growing up; hearing about her and Steve’s adventures in life, big purchases, and favorite meals, recipes and restaurants. I also met her mother a few times and heard and saw where Chris came from and quite a bit about Emporia. 
I have a collection of ornaments that she hand painted for me every year that I recently started featuring on the salon Christmas tree! I already treasure them and will hold them close in memory or her. 
Chris will be truly missed. May she Rest In Peace. 

Chris was someone I valued dearly as a friend.  Although I didn’t get to see her often,  we had good fun when we got together.  She was someone I could share things with and know she would understand.  I met her through home health when she took care of my son.  We shared a love of cats.  Chris was a wonderful artist!  She brought sunshine and kindness to everyone because she was an angel on earth.   I felt she was my sister from another mother.   I was blessed to have met her!   This world is not the same knowing I won’t be able to hear her laughter again.    I send hugs to her family.   I miss her.

St. Marys hospital.  She was a very caring and skilled nurse and friend.

Steve,

So sorry for your loss, prayers for you and your family. Thinking of you in these tough times. God bless you, may Chris rest in peace.

Chris and I have trained together for the past 11 years. We've had some wonderful times together.....despite the fact that exercise was not her favorite thing. We solved the problems of the world and I will truly miss our time together. Love you Chris but know you are now at peace.....I'm sure no exercise in heaven.

Chris was the sister I never had. She was my best friend and someone who was always there for me. She was a good listener, always had good advice, and was sassy with a capital S! I'll miss our weekend chats with M&Ms and my diet Coke. I am honored to have had such a dear person in my life, along with her husband Steve - whom she truly loved and was so proud of. I know I have an angel looking over me. I love you, Chris.
