Charles "Chuck" Rummery

Chuck served in Law Enforcement for 38 years; retiring as Deputy Police Chief of WPD before becoming Chief of Police at WSU. He also served in the Air Force and Army Reserves.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly; son, David (Kelly); daughter, Cheryl; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 W 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67203 with a procession leading to a graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Devotion, Lot 56C, Space 1, 11800 W. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Kansas Humane Society and/or Phoenix Hospice.
