Charles Duane Prideaux, also known as "Duane ", age 86, of Pretty Prairie, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born January 25, 1936, the youngest child of the late Fred and Violet Prideaux.
He worked for Dold Food for 34 years, Mile Sand Company for 10 years and worked as a custodian for 9 years at Valley Centers Schools.
On January 26, 1980 he married Hazel (Hoffine) Prideaux. They shared 42 years of marriage before his death.
Duane loved to shoot pool and play golf and spend time on the farm and especially loved driving around in his Cadillac with Darci (His Dog) in the back window.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 siblings.
Duane is survived by his wife Hazel, 3 children; Greg (Lisa) Prideaux, Douglas (Kimberly) Prideaux, and Kimberly Warren;1 grandchild Kayla (John) Pyles, 1 great- grandchild Lily and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to Elmsdale Senior Center, 400 E. Ave. East, Hutchinson, Kansas.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m., a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 3 p.m. with graveside to follow all occurring at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
