Im really sorry I couldnt make it. Looks like it was a beautiful going home. Im sure mom loved it! 
She was my 2nd mom and and I will miss her. All you kids were like my brothers and sisters. Love you all.
Think of the stories are parents are telling.....lol

Debbie and family,  my heart sank with sadness when I heard about your mom.      If only all children could be so lucky to have a mother like her, to experience that kind of love.    May all of you find comfort in the so many  memories she left behind until you meet up again.

I was so very blessed to attend the Downs family reunion in 2017 after 25 years of not attending.  When I get to the park Aunt Charlene hugged me and wouldn't let me go.  I felt so loved and blessed to be a part of this great family.  God bless everyone she has touched.  Aunt Charlene party on with Uncle Tom, your mom, dad and sisters.  Jesus is in the house.    

 John 14 1 to 4:  Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.   My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.   You know the way to the place where I am going.”

It was my pleasure to know Ms. Charlene through Sheryl and Larry.  I was allowed the honor of cleaning for Ms. Charlene a couple times as a gift from Sheryl and Larry.  It was wonderful to talk to her and get to know some of her family stories involving Larry.  But then the most fun was going to Carlos and Kelly's with her and Sheryl and Sheryl's mom Ms . Ginny  for lunch.  We had such a good time talking and laughing.  I just have to let the family know that their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was a joy to talk and laugh with.  Thank you all for sharing her laughter and smiles with us all.

On Easter a year ago we were playing cards Charlene,Ann ,Margaret and I.We played game after game of cards.Just sat around and visited talking and laughing. She loved playing her card games.

Larry & Sheryl, and family, our thoughts & prayers are with you as another of the Greatest Generation has passed onto their reward. May the many memories that flood your thoughts be filled with smiles, joy, ordinary days with the antics of a young family, meals served with love and laughter, and soft and gentle words and touch.
